I really didn't have any expectations for this movie, certainly not high ones. Most things that get billed as comedies from this region turn out to have a depressing bend to them, think Muriel's Wedding and Priscilla Queen of the Desert. This kiwi comedy turned out to be a charming, laugh out loud, feel good pleaser. We saw it at the Screen on the Green in Islington with a native kiwi who tried to explain all the kiwi jokes that just flew past us – even without an advanced degree in New Zealand studies, it was more then funny enough for me. Go see it. Take someone to see it.
