Second class at The Sewing Arts Center to make myself the next part of my travel outfit. I wanted a classic dress shirt, and worked from another Wkik Sew pattern.

Kwik Sew is apparently meant for a different body type. I measured out a medium shirt which fit me well, but the arms were 6 too short. So I created 4 8 inch strips and extending the sleeves with an insert at the elbow that was attached like the yolk, so all the seams are "bagged" inside of the strips.

Aso, because I was using a strip, I did the yolk on the bias. Bias yolks wear better because of the stretch in the fabric and will make the stripes look okay without having to line them up.
